The Big Train Booster Club is a support arm of the organization which seeks to provide voluntary assistance in furtherance of the mission to improve youth baseball fields and to operate the Big Train baseball program. 

The Booster Club meets about 3 or 4 times a year.  Each meeting lasts about an hour.  At the meeting, Eddie Herndon (the Big Train President) briefs us on the business aspects of the operation.  For example, he may discuss what is happening with plans for the concessions operations, the amount of sponsorships, the plans for game night entertainment, the plans for non-profits-of-the-night, advanced picnic sales, summer camp revenues, etc.  He will also bring members up to date with news from the Ripken League, such as teams joining or leaving the league, new rules, charity events, plans for the All-Star Game, etc.  Other topics might include planning for production of the souvenir program and for marketing materials.   Members have opportunities for input and discussion on these topics.
In the Fall, members of the Booster Club are requested to help with the annual fund-raiser (the Big Train Base Ball and Auction) by contributing auction items and/or assisting in solicitation of sponsors and/or volunteering to work at the event.   It's not mandatory for members to do these things, but help would be appreciated.    The fund-raiser is held either in November or December on a Sunday. 
Randy Schools is the President of the Booster Club, and Bill Hickman is the Secretary.   Minutes are taken and distributed to all members, whether they attend the meeting or not.
