Big Train travel to Alexandria for the second time this season

Alec Burleson put on a show with two home runs on June 18 against the Loudoun Riverdogs.

After Wednesday's game against the Baltimore Redbirds was suspended due to rain, Big Train head back on the road to face the Alexandria Aces on Thursday night.

Alec Burleson (East Carolina) has surged lately to lead Bethesda and the Cal Ripken League in both home runs (6) and RBIs (17). Bethesda dominated their first contest against the Aces on June 8 in Alexandria, winning 10-3 behind three hits and two RBI from catcher Carson Taylor (Virginia Tech). The Aces dropped to 1-3 after that loss, but are now 7-5 and are third in the South Division, four games behind the 11-1 division-leading Big Train.

The Aces have been led at the plate this season by Kris Kremer, who leads the team in hits, home runs and RBI.

LHP Tuck Tucker (Maryland) will be tasked with stopping Kremer and the rest of the Alexandria lineup. Tucker has yet to surrender an earned run in seven innings of work so far this season. The Aces are expected to start Jacob Grzebinski on the mound.
