Big Train Visits Lorton

By:Devin Stubbs
Chase Lee (Alabama) smiles on as the Big Train took on the Braves in a previous game.

The Big Train will return to the tracks as they head over to Lorton, Virginia, Sunday to take on the FCA Braves. The two teams will compete in a double header at South County High School, their sixth and seventh matchups in the 2019 season.

Bethesda stands undefeated against the fifth ranked team and looks to continue the trend as the season begins to wind down. In their previous games, Bethesda has outscored the Braves 44-14. The Big Train currently sits at the top of the league, leading not only in rankings but various stats as well.

Kobe Kato (University of Arizona) leads the league in batting average, with a .466 mark. Earning a total of 30 RBIs, Matt Thomas (William & Mary) sits one run above teammate Jacob Southern (Jacksonville) as the leader.

First pitch is set for 4:30 p.m. for the first game. As for the second, there is a 7 p.m. expected start, but it could be subject to change. Can’t travel along with the train? No worries! Play-by-play coverage will be broadcast by Alex Drain and Shaun Salehi; tune in here
