Dave Vatz

Dave heads up the Big Train broadcast team after leading the Bomber Radio Network last season. A senior at the University of Maryland and assistant sports director at WMUC, he led the online broadcast of the Cal Ripken Sr. League All-Star Game and playoffs in 2007. A Marylander his whole life, he is a diehard Orioles, Ravens, and Terps fan. On the WMUC airwaves for numerous sports, Dave has broadcast all around the country, including Indiana, Boston, Florida, all around North Carolina, and NYC's Madison Square Garden. He looks forward to a great year for the Big Train.

Favorite broadcast moment: Graham Zusi scoring the golden goal with six seconds to go in double overtime to lead the Maryland men's soccer team over North Carolina 2-1.

Gregg Sussman
Gregg joins the Big Train broadcast team after being the co-crew chief of the Terrapin women's softball broadcast team. As an incoming junior at the University of Maryland, Gregg is an assistant sports director at WMUC. Residing in New Jersey, he lives and dies with the Yankees and New York Giants. Upon joining WMUC radio the first semester of his freshman year, Gregg has enjoyed his time broadcasting, especially taking a trip to San Francisco for the Emerald Bowl. Gregg is pumped for his first season with the Big Train.

Favorite broadcast moment: ACC Player of the Year Danielle Spaulding throwing a perfect game during the ACC softball Championship, when North Carolina defeated Virginia 6-0.

Tim Murray

Tim joins the Big Train broadcast team after announcing Muhlenberg football games and hosting his own talk show, "Unsportsmanlike Conduct," on WMUH 91.7 in Allentown, PA. Tim is a senior at Muhlenberg College where he is the captain of the Mules basketball team. He also announced all the home games for the Centennial Conference champion Muhlenberg football team including an NCAA 1st round victory over Salisbury. Growing up in Rockville, MD, Tim bleeds blue and gold for the Irish of Notre Dame and loves the Nationals and Redskins. He can't wait to announce for the Big Train this summer.

Favorite broadcast moment: The Mules overcoming a 17 point deficit to beat Dickinson 29-24, clinching the Centennial Conference football championship.

Terry Hayes
Terry is a sophomore journalism major at the University of Maryland. Hayes has broadcast numerous Maryland baseball and softball games as well as doing play-by-play for an ACC Championship game. Originally from Hamilton, NY, Hayes is a die-hard Mets and Knicks fan. His dream job would be to call games for the Mets, but he surmises that any team would do. He looks forward to a good season with the Big Train and will broadcast Maryland field hockey and the "Terrapin Power Hour" football pregame show on WMUC in the fall.

Favorite broadcast moment: Sarde Stewart’s home run to put the Maryland softball team over Virginia 2-0.
