Heath Dobyns (BT 2006)
Heath Dobyns Pitching Coach

Heath Dobyns, a well respected pitching coach from Fountain, Colorado, will be in his first season with the Big Train. As a player, he was drafted in the 30th round of the 2001 MLB draft by the White Sox. As a minor leaguer, he pitched to a 5.06 ERA in 85 1/3 innings over the course of three seasons. Unfortunately, a back injury shut him down for an extended period of time. He then returned to Colorado to finish his degree from Colorado State University-Pueblo this past May. Before pro ball, Heath pitched for two years at the University of Southern Colorado and one year at the University of Northern Colorado. While at school, he compiled more innings pitched than any other freshman in school history. Recently Heath has been coaching at Widefield HS and giving private lessons since retiring from professional baseball. He lives in Colorado Springs, CO with his wife Tiffany and 3-year-old son Kaiden.
