Harry Kaplan
Director of Baseball AnalyticsHarry is a junior at Oberlin College and plays shortstop for the varsity baseball team. He is majoring in history with a minor in economics. Harry has coached baseball for each of the past six summers in Washington, DC, and is passionate about all aspects of the game. Harry has taken a deep interest in statistical analysis. Recently, Harry has taken statistics and a variety of courses on economics, and has applied that work to independent projects that seek to project the impact of the ban on the defensive shift on statistical trends in MLB and analyzed whether, over the past 25 years, it has been more difficult to pitch in the American League or National League by showing the effects the DH has on pitchers’ ERAs.
