Join Us For the Annual Base Ball & Holiday Auction on November 17th
Bethesda Big Train's Annual Base Ball & Holiday Auction is almost here! On Sunday, November 17, we'll gather at the fabulous KID Museum at Bethesda Metro Center for an evening of great company to celebrate our wins on the field and in the community.
Big Train Founder Bruce Adams writes, "Twenty-five years ago, we sent out a fundraiser asking local baseball fans to “Imagine... a team of our own playing in a league of our own right near home.” It has worked out pretty well. Hundreds of generous donors responded. We built Shirley Povich Field. We launched the Bethesda Big Train. We have provided affordable family fun right near home for hundreds of thousands of fans. We have won championships. Twenty-four of our players have made it all the way to the major leagues. We invested $600,000 in improving fields for kids from Germantown to Anacostia. We honor our heroes. We inspire and teach our youth. And we celebrate our diverse community."
Our annual Big Train Base Ball & Holiday Auction has been the vehicle for raising the funds to support our community service initiatives. By supporting our 25th auction, you will allow us to continue to dream and help us expand our community service.
Please join us at the KID Museum in Bethesda on Sunday, November 17 from 6 to 8 pm! You and your kids will be wowed by the educational makerspace that is the KID Museum, enjoy fine food provided by the Bean Bag Deli, and we'll hear from ESPN and Baseball Hall of Famer Tim Kurkjian, BT 2010-2011 Alumnus and CRSCBL Hall Inductee Matt Bowman, and Manager Sal Colangelo.
Individual tickets are $100. A special $250 Family Four Pack includes admission for two adults and two children under age 16. Proceeds from tickets go to continuing Big Train's mission in the community.
See you on November 17th. Thanks for your support of Bethesda Big Train Baseball!
