Bethesda Big Train Tickets: Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need the confirmation email to get into the game?

No, the confirmation email is not your ticket. It confirms your purchase, and inside, you'll find either printable tickets or access to mobile tickets. You have the ability to transfer your ticket(s), but must initiate the transfer through the confirmation email, so make sure to keep the email safe.

How do I transfer my ticket(s) to friends and family?

You can easily send tickets that you’ve purchased to others directly from your confirmation email. Here's how:

  1. Look for and click the “Send to Friend” button.
  2. Choose to send a single ticket or multiple tickets (for Season or Flex Ticket Packages) by email. You can also print tickets from here.

Can I transfer my ticket(s) via text?

Yes! To send tickets via text, follow these steps (see also screenshots below):

  • Open the confirmation email and select “View Mobile Tickets” or “View Digital Subscriptions.”
  • For the ticket(s) you want to send, you must first add them to your mobile wallet by clicking “Add to Apple Wallet” or “Add to Google Wallet.”

Tip: Be mindful of which ticket number you're adding to your mobile wallet to transfer. For example, ticket #5 of 24.

  • Once the ticket is in your mobile wallet, open your wallet app and tap the top-right icon to send via text message.
  • Enter the recipient's name or phone number, and you're done!

I can no longer attend the game. What should I do?

If you're unable to attend, you can transfer your tickets to a friend or family member. If you want to attend a future game, contact us at tickets@bigtrain.org to discuss options for exchanging your tickets.

What if the game is rained out?

The Big Train will make every effort possible to play, but if a game is officially postponed due to rain, tickets may be exchanged for other games or are valid for the rescheduled date (unless the reschedule is a doubleheader). Rainout policies vary based on the situation. A policy will be announced after the game is officially postponed. All ticket holders will be emailed the policy. Any game suspended after five innings (or 4 ½ innings if the Big Train is ahead) is considered a complete game, and so suspended game tickets cannot be exchanged.

Official Policy as stated in the Terms and Conditions:

In the event of rainouts or other circumstances requiring the postponement of the game, please refer to bigtrain.org or the handle @gobigtrain on social media for the policy applicable to the affected game and retain possession of this ticket as it may need to be presented at a later time. Ticket Holder will be emailed by a Big Train representative with information on rescheduled games or ticket exchanges.

My child attended Big Train Summer Camp. Do they get a free ticket?

Yes! If your child participated in Big Train Summer Camp, they receive free admission to games during the week of their camp. For example, if your child attended Week 3 (June 30–July 3), they can attend home games for free from June 30 to July 6.

Important: You will receive a discount code in an email prior to the start of your registered camp week. To use the discount code, tickets must be reserved online in advance.

If you want to send tickets to a friend or family though text here are the steps you need to follow:

1. Select “View Mobile Tickets” or “View Digital Subscriptions” in the confirmation email.

2. On the ticket(s) you want to send, select “Add to Apple Wallet” or “Add to Google Wallet.”

3. Once the ticket(s) is added to your mobile wallet, you want to open your wallet application. Select the top right icon, and choose text message as your method.

4. Now enter the name or number of the person you want to send the tickets to and you’re done!
