Our 2026 Big Train Base Ball & Holiday Auction will be held on Sunday, December 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the wonderful KID Museum located in downtown Bethesda, with a fabulous dinner from the Bean Bag Deli and ice cream from Max's Best Ice Cream. We will showcase items from our online auction and present our 2026 Randy Schools Big Train Outstanding Service Awards.
We are excited to announce that December 6 will be a Big Train-Hacopian Family Reunion. Chris and Eddie Hacopian will join ESPN's Tim Kurkjian as our special guest speakers. The Hacopian Family was one of the First Families of Big Train Baseball. Chris and Eddie’s dad, Derek Hacopian, was the Big Train’s Head Coach from 1999 to 2004, leading the Big Train to our first-ever league championship in 2004. Derek’s mom, Elda Hacopian, was Big Train’s General Manager, while sister Aida Hacopian was the Big Train's first Super Fan. Chris and Eddie played for the Big Train in 2023. Following his dad Derek as a college All-American, Chris was the #1 pick of the Washington Nationals in the 2026 MLB draft. Eddie was the Ripken League’s Most Outstanding Player in 2022, playing for the Alexandria Aces. This year, Eddie played for the Capitales de Québec in the independent professional Frontier League.

Auction Item Donation
In addition to our in-person Base Ball & Auction at the Bethesda KID Museum, the Big Train will host two online auctions to support our community service initiatives.
To enhance our auctions, we are seeking auction items valued at $50 or more for fans looking for holiday gifts. Your donations will be showcased to thousands of Big Train fans on our website, our email, at our in-person holiday event, and our social media outlets – @GoBigTrain – throughout October, November, and into December.
