Big Train Online Holiday Auction Week 1 Begins Today!
We are excited to let you know that the first of Bethesda Big Train’s Two Online Holiday Auctions opens TODAY (Tuesday November 18) at 5 p.m. This is a fantastic way to do your Holiday shopping from the comfort of your home and support the Big Train at the same time! Our annual Big Train Base Ball & Holiday Auction is how we raise the money to support our community service initiatives.
Our Online Auction is a sports collector's dream, but there's something for everyone! Art, food, and curated one-of-a-kind experiences are all available in the Online Auction. Some highlights include:
- Talking Baseball - a sit-down meal with ESPN and Baseball Hall of Fame broadcaster Tim Kurkjian
- Gift cards for restaurants and stores throughout the area as well as Handyman Services from Sandy Spring Builders
- An opportunity to take batting practice with the Big Train in 2026
- Cal Ripken Jr. signed bat
- Experiences that range from three days at a cozy West Virginia cabin to a youth membership at KID Museum
- Books signed by authors that will make great holiday gifts.
These and many other items will be available when the Auction opens tonight (Tuesday November 18) at 5 p.m. at bigtrain.org. Sign in with your email or gmail to bid, and check back - the auction closes at 10 p.m. on Monday November 24.
Proceeds from this auction help support Bethesda Big Train Baseball’s ability to provide affordable family entertainment for our fans next summer and continue our community service initiatives.

We will enjoy a delicious supper provided by our friends at The Bean Bag Deli and Max’s Best Ice Cream, get the inside scoop on MLB from ESPN’s Tim Kurkjian, as well as ideas for making baseball more fan friendly from author Jane Leavy, and honor those who have helped make Big Train so special.
