June 28 Showdown Against Thunderbolts Moved to 5 p.m.

Sunday's Bethesda Big Train game against the Silver Spring-Takoma Thunderbolts has been moved to 5 p.m. after a blown transformer left Shirley Povich Field without ballpark lights.

The earlier start makes for a perfect evening for families to enjoy baseball before sunset. Bethesda enters the matchup with momentum after a dominant 14-1 victory over the D.C. Grays on Saturday.

Sunday also features Bobblehead Trading Night, presented by Springnecks. Gates open at 3:30 p.m., and the first 150 fans through the gates can choose from 150 unique bobbleheads. One lucky fan who selects the Golden Bobblehead will receive a five-ticket flex pack for future 2026 Big Train games.

Fans can also exchange any Big Train bobblehead from 2023 or earlier for free admission with a reserved grandstand ticket. Before first pitch, collectors are invited to trade bobbleheads in the Shirley and Walter sculpture plaza, while the official Big Train trading table will offer select exchanges for 2024 or 2025 Big Train bobbleheads.

Tickets can be found on the Big Train website.
